Welcome back to Must Make Monday! It seems like Mother Nature flipped a switch overnight, and just like that, summer weather is here to stay. If you’re like me, every time the seasons change I stand in front of my closet and ask myself: What can I wear in this weather?!<\/p>\n

We have ideas for you! I’m sure you all\u00a0have tricks for surviving the wretched heat and humidity in this town. Some of mine include wearing lots of skirts and dresses, which I do almost exclusively in the warmer months. And of course lightweight, breathable fabrics are crucial. Comfort is key! But there’s no reason to sacrifice style for comfort.\u00a0To prove this point, I give you the Shadi<\/a>\u00a0skirt by Named<\/a>\u00a0paired with\u00a0the Edie<\/a> by Isabell Kraemer:<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

The pattern photo shows the skirt made in a rayon ponte; we made ours using a two-way stretch woven lace knit fabric. The beauty of this fabric (besides the beautiful lace)? It’s reversible!<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

We currently carry the denim and the navy reversible lace knit fabrics. Gorgeous, right? If lace isn’t your style, you can use any stable medium or heavyweight knit fabric. Now let’s look at the lovely linen tunic!\u00a0 This versatile t-shirt will become a wardrobe staple this summer! Ours is knit up in Kalinka<\/a>, a 100% linen yarn from Sweden. If you haven’t knit with linen before, this is the perfect project to give it a try. It has great structure that softens beautifully over time, with a lovely drape that you’d expect from any linen fabric. And because it’s 100% linen, you will be creating a natural, breathable fabric that is perfect to wear when the mercury rises.
