Mini Workshop :: Bodice Drafting

Mini Workshop :: Bodice Drafting

Have you ever wondered how pattern makers take body measurements and use them to create custom blocks for their designs?  In this mini workshop, we will guide you through the process of taking accurate measurements, drafting a custom (sleeveless) bodice sloper, and testing the fit by making a muslin – all in a day!

Not only can a bodice block (or sloper) be used as a base to create your own patterns, it is also a great tool for analyzing fit issues you may have with commercial patterns in the bust, waist, shoulders, and back.

This class is Level III.  No prior pattern drafting experience is necessary, but you should be comfortable using garment sewing patterns.

Class time includes a break for lunch in the afternoon.

Instructor: Mary
